With the Moto G (2025) and Moto G Power (2025) already out in the wild, and the Edge 60 Fusion officially unveiled just days ago ahead of a broader launch across key European and Asian markets, you’d think Motorola might be wrapping up its early-year rollout. But no — the brand is just getting warmed up.
In the coming weeks, Motorola is expected to unveil not just one, but two high-profile foldables, rumored to be the next-gen Razr and Razr Plus models. But beyond the foldables, there’s also a lot happening on the non-foldable front. At least three new additions to the Edge family are in the works, and two of them — the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro — are already generating serious buzz thanks to a flurry of fresh leaks.
We’ve got high-resolution renders, a short teaser video, and new regulatory listings from China complete with live photos and detailed spec sheets — all of which paint a very clear picture of what to expect.
Here’s what we know about the Motorola Edge 60:
- 6.67-inch OLED display, 2712 x 1220 resolution, curved edges
- Dimensions: 161.2 x 73.1 x 7.95mm
- Weight: 180.4g
- Triple rear cameras: 50MP main + 10MP + 50MP
- Front camera: 50MP
- Battery: 5,500mAh
- Charging: 68W fast wired charging
- Biometrics: In-display fingerprint scanner
- Design: Vegan leather back
- Colors: Blue and Green
From a design standpoint, the Edge 60 stands out as a sleek, modern-looking device with slim curves and a premium finish — and the vegan leather back gives it a nice tactile edge over many plasticky mid-rangers.
Spec-wise, there are still some unknowns. While one leak suggests the Edge 60 will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage variants paired with 8GB and 12GB of RAM, other sources indicate a wider range, possibly going from 6GB to 16GB RAM, and 128GB to 1TB of internal storage.
When it comes to performance, the SoC remains a mystery — but it’s likely to be either the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 or the newer Dimensity 7400. It’s also possible that Motorola could dual-source chipsets based on region, much like it has done with previous models.
Internally codenamed “Milos Plus”, the Edge 60 is positioned as a step up from the Edge 60 Fusion (aka Milos), mainly due to its improved camera system and slightly larger battery. Yet it’s expected to retain the same IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, meaning it’s just as durable as it is stylish.
And then there’s the Motorola Edge 60 Pro:
- 6.67-inch OLED display, 2712 x 1220 resolution, curved edges
- Dimensions: 171.3 x 74 x 7.25mm
- Weight: 188g
- Rear cameras: 50MP main + 13MP secondary
- Front camera: 32MP
- Battery: 6,000mAh
- Charging: 90W wired fast charging
- Biometrics: In-display fingerprint scanner
- Design: Vegan leather finish
At a glance, the Edge 60 Pro looks like a beefier version of the standard Edge 60 — and in some ways, it is. It comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery, faster 90W charging, and slightly more refined dimensions that make it taller, wider, and thinner than its sibling. That’s impressive engineering, especially if Motorola manages to keep the overall weight down.
However, the camera setup might raise some eyebrows. While the Pro has a higher-res 32MP selfie cam, the secondary rear sensor drops to 13MP, and there’s no word on a third rear lens, which seems odd for a “Pro” device. This could mean the Pro is leaning more into battery and display performance, rather than photography.
Storage and RAM options are rumored to match the Edge 60’s — up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM — making this a strong contender in the upper mid-range category, especially if priced competitively.
U.S. Release: A Waiting Game
As of now, it’s still unclear whether both models will launch in the U.S., or if Motorola will rebrand one of them as simply the “Edge (2025).” Historically, Motorola has been selective about which Edge devices reach the North American market, often changing names or releasing region-specific variants. It’s entirely possible that only one of the two — likely the Edge 60 Pro — will make its way stateside.
Still, with their bold designs, high-end features, and polished Android experience, both the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro look like compelling additions to Motorola’s 2025 lineup.
