If you’re a creator or business owner, here’s a faster way to show your Instagram posts to people on your WhatsApp.
For a long time, WhatsApp worked separately from other Meta apps. But now, Meta is slowly making it easier for Instagram and WhatsApp to work together.
If you’re tired of copying and pasting Instagram links just to show your post on WhatsApp, there’s good news! Instagram now lets you share your video reels directly to your WhatsApp status with just one tap.
No need for tricks. Your accounts are already connected if you use the same Meta account, and it won’t affect your WhatsApp privacy.
The feature is still being rolled out, so don’t worry if you can’t see it on your phone yet. But once it shows up, here’s how to use it:
How to Share Instagram Reels to WhatsApp Status
Note: This only works for video reels, not photos.
Step 1: Open Instagram and choose the reel you want to share.
Step 2: Tap the kite icon (the share button).
Step 3: Choose “WhatsApp Status.”
Step 4: A message will pop up saying audio won’t be included. Tap “Share without audio.”
Step 5: WhatsApp will open. Post the video as your status as you normally would.
And that’s it!
Other Ways to Share Instagram Reels on WhatsApp
If the new feature isn’t on your phone yet, here are some simple ways to share:
-
Copy the link to the reel and send it to your contacts.
-
Download the reel and upload it directly to your WhatsApp status.
-
Tap the WhatsApp icon under the reel to send it.
-
Use the “Share To” option and select WhatsApp.
-
Use a QR code if that works for you.
💡 Tip: If you want the reel to keep its original sound on WhatsApp, the best way is to download and upload it manually.
